Time was created. It was set in its place, yet do I believe to be subject to it? Love, on the other hand, is not created, Love existed before Time. It is the very thing that gives Time purpose and its existence meaning. What am I subject to then? It has to be Love because this I serve, this is the one I long for, to know, to live in, to build from, to exist for, not Time.
And Time serves Love.
I have always wanted to change Time to have love, but Love is above Time. My disrespect for love created pain and made me a slave to time. Time becomes my ally when I value Love, I value its work in me and its work in others. Love uses time to draw us to Him. Time is a tool in the hands of Love’s purpose to bring us closer to one another. Love favors us, Love favors me because it wants to thrive in me. Time gives way to Love’s flourishing and purpose.
If we try to use Time for our purposes and agenda, then Love will not win. Love will become second and love does not thrive in second. Love is meant to be the first and the last. It has no beginning or end, that is why Time is subject to Love. Love keeps no records because it has no obligation to time. Every moment in time that is memorable or has marked history for good it is because of Love’s impact. Time exists to tell the story of Love.
So how great is Love? Time will tell.
