Quotes

But what I've found after almost ten years of running my own coaching practice and thousands of hours of coaching. There are some common human behavioral patterns that form. And one one of them is this questioning of ‘am I enough?’ Am I good enough? Am I smart enough? Am I fast enough? Am I clever enough? Am I am I enough? Do I deserve happiness and success?you know, the the impostor syndrome comes from this.”

“Talking about the plasticity of the brain and how we can change our beliefs. I read a bunch of books on it, just putting it on high repeat. For example, to say the sentence, ‘I am good enough’. Whether you believe it or not. When you say those words in that sequence, ‘I am good enough’. The corresponding neurons have to fire together to say that sentence. So when you say that sentence repetitively and it takes time, man. This is where you gotta roll your sleeves up and do the work. Those neurons start to wire together, which means they're the path of least resistance. So it's a thought that fires as a reflex thought, it fires automatically. It becomes a belief.”

Takeaway Questions from the interview

  1. What do you know about imposter syndrome?

  2. What is your biggest fear?

  3. What are you wishing would change but feel incapable to make it happen?

  4. How can you live more thoughtfully? In work? Family?
